    Role Introduction

    Reports to: Talent Acquisition Lead - Operations

    The jobholder is responsible for contributing to the design and execution of operationally focused talent acquisition strategies for our operations employees (specifically our pilots and simulator instructors) and specifically for supporting the assessment and selection activity for these employee groups.

    This position offers a fixed-term contract until 31 Dec 2025.

    Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a brand ambassador for the airline, promoting our employee value proposition and inspiring candidates to apply for positions and accept opportunities
  • Support the end to end recruitment processes including sourcing, screening, interviewing, selecting, and offering for operations role (including but not limited to cadet pilots, direct entry pilots, and simulator instructors)
  • Focus on securing high quality candidates within agreed time-to-fill targets and ensure screening is in line with company and all regulatory requirements
  • Maintain a professional, brand enhancing candidate experience through all recruitment cycle touch-points
  • Coordinate recruitment activity for all applicable overseas hires
  • Assist in development and implementation of policies, procedures and processes related to sourcing and recruiting
  • Assist in implementation and enhancement of selection tools
  • Manage up to date recruitment statistics
  • Participate in career talks and job fairs to promote pilot opportunities at Cathay
  • Work closely with Global Business Services Centre (GBS) on recruitment and onboarding administration process.
  • Work closely with AVMED (Aviation Medical) on scheduling of pre-employment medical check and maintain up to date database on the results
  • Co-ordinate with ICAO English Service Provider on scheduling of assessment
  • Support the Assistant Manager and Talent Acquisition Manager as required
  • Participate in HR / talent acquisition projects as required
  • Requirements
  • Degree in Human Resources or related discipline
  • 3 years relevant experience in HR / Flight Operations, preferably with at least 1 year in recruitment
  • Aviation experience advantageous
  • Experience in high volume recruitment activity
  • Experience running competency-based interviews and using other assessment and selection tools
  • Experience using Talent Link an added advantage
  • Good team working and relationship management skills
  • Strong planning skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects
