We are looking for a talented individual to join our team as a Risk Management Auditor focusing on enterprise-wide risk management in the Asia region. As part of our Audit division, you will provide senior management with an unbiased assessment of the internal control environment for risk management and governance. What you'll do in the role:
- Formulate and lead various assurance activities to evaluate risks within the coverage area and the effectiveness of existing controls
- Proactively identify and address risks, including emerging ones, in the assurance process
- Communicate actionable insights to management regarding the significance and consequences of risks to the business
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders globally to establish strong working relationships
- Align projects and initiatives with department and coverage area priorities, overseeing the team's delivery in line with audit methodology and quality standards
- Engage in ongoing monitoring and risk evaluation of critical business processes to guide the risk-based audit plan
- Develop a deep understanding of business and system processes, and effectively communicate complex technical issues in simple terms to management and audit peers
Qualifications What you'll bring to the role:
- 5+ years of relevant experience in Investment Banking/ Risk Management Audit or 1st and 2nd line of defense control functions such as risk management, valuation control, and strategists (Required)
- Thorough knowledge in risk management areas like market risk, credit risk, liquidity risk, and/or model risk, staying up-to-date with financial market insights, current affairs in the Asia region, and regulatory changes related to risk management (Required)
- Experience working with international teams (Preferred)
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English, Japanese language skills are a plus
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Critical thinking skills and a risk and control mindset to comprehend intricate businesses, processes, and financial instruments
- Preferably hold certifications such as FRM, CFA, CIA, CA, or other financial/risk qualifications
