- To facilitate ease of business transactions through the provision of legal advice to all areas of the organisation, including the Board of Directors
- Support the timely launch of new products by advising on all legal documentation for products, including policy contract terms, product marketing brochures and illustrations
- Develop and maintain constructive relationships with regulatory bodies (OCI, HKMA, MPFA, PCA, SFC) to help foster mutual trust, respect and understanding; including lobbying as well as the provision of advice to assist in the development of regulation
- Provide competitive advantage to the organisation with maintaining currency and anticipating regulatory and market trends, assessment of legal risks and advising on mitigating actions; inclusive of matters relating to the governance of the Board of Directors
- Oversight of all corporate governance matters, including management of board meeting materials.
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB)
- Fully qualified solicitor of the HKSAR
- Minimum 10 years post qualification experience in a reputable law firm and/or as in-house counsel
- Knowledge of insurance legal frameworks in Hong Kong
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including presentation and facilitation capabilities
- Proven negotiation and influencing skills
- Ability to exercise sound judgment
- Excellent command in Cantonese and English
