- Global Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) is a sub function of Group Risk and Compliance. The ERM function will support the integration of our Group Framework and Appetite Management, and have broad oversight of the Risk Taxonomy. While the core risks of the bank remain consistent compared to a few years ago, the way in which they manifest, the speed to crystallisation and the connection points between them have become increasingly complex. It is therefore essential that we are equipped with the knowledge to navigate the dynamic and interconnected risk landscape of today.
- The objective of enterprise risk management is to develop a holistic, portfolio view of the most significant risks to the achievement of the Group's most important objectives.
- The role will be expected to work across the management matrix, including global, regional and country-level stakeholders, to support the consolidated resilience risk opinion of Asia-Pacific DBS (Digital Business Services), one of the key regions for HSBC Group.
- The role holder will be the primary point of accountability for effective management of Resilience Risk associated activities, within DBS & Global Functions. Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Providing stewardship and guidance on DBS business activities.
- Lead oversight of change execution risk and strategy implementation.
- Ensure that risk management frameworks are embedded within the region and provide guidance to the Global Businesses /sites to achieve the same.
- Lead a team of SMEs for the risk steward capabilities for Transaction Processing, Third Party Risk and Business Continuity.
- Along with the Resilience Risk steward for Technology, Data and Cyber Risk ensure that a comprehensive picture of the overall resilience risks are available to LoBs and markets.
- Lead the Data Privacy Office regional team and structures.\Support second line resilience risk challenge to the Global Functions teams. Requirements
- Strong leader with the ability to influence at the senior levels of the organisation.
- Strong experience on overall Resilience risk management including Data risk, Technology risk, Transaction Processing risk, Third Party risk and business Continuity.
- Aptitude for analysing complex issues to identify and assess the long-term, strategic implications for the Bank and its customers, translating these into tangible goals and actions.
- Strong knowledge of Digital Business Services (DBS) – functionally, operationally, and financially.
- Proven experience in a relevant role as a Technology Lead, Senior Product Owner, Senior Risk role or other, preferably from a financial services organisation background.
- Honed analytical skills, with a strong emphasis on complex analyses of financial and management information.
- Ability to present complex concepts and results to audiences in a persuasive and compelling manner.
- Experience of presenting recommendations to Senior Management and Stakeholders.
- Proven track record of leading teams, ideally across geographies and matrixes.
- A BA or BS University Degree, advanced degrees preferable, ( MBA, MSc, PhD) is desirable.
