- Be a team member of Secured Lending & Transformation
- Support Team Head in overseeing the workflow, operations and process of application approval of credit card, consumer loan and mortgage loan
- Review & approve card and mortgage loan applications and prepare credit proposal and annual credit review proposals for Management's approval
- Ensure proper approvals are obtained according to the Bank's credit guidelines and relevant regulatory requirements
- Support business objectives by adopting a balanced risk-reward approach and ensuring quality portfolios to minimize credit loss
- Monitor the service quality of the team members to achieve pre-set standard and ensure meeting of the Service Level Agreement (SLA) of card and loan approval
- Work closely with internal Sections and Departments to ensure timely and speedy approval of card and loan applications to achieve business goals
- Handle and investigate customer's complaints and requests
- Handle enquiries from frontline staff and internal Departments on credit assessment on card and loan applications
- Represent the Department to participate in the work groups of new initiatives and special projects
- Address on queries related to loan approval raised by Internal Audit Department, external auditor, Compliance Department and Hong Kong Monitory Authority from time to time Requirements
- University graduate
- Preferably with over 8 years of experiences in banking sector, in which at least 3 years at supervisory level on credit management or credit approval
- Good understanding of retail lending products and SME loans
- Sound knowledge of financial analysis and MIS tools
- Familiar with related regulatory guidelines and banking policies
- Strong credit sense and risk awareness
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proactive and result-oriented
- Independent, detailed-oriented and able to work under pressure
- Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese, proficiency in Putonghua is an advantage
