- Provide strategic financial leadership and guidance to the organization, ensuring the achievement of financial goals and objectives.
- Oversee the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, driving financial performance and profitability.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards, including Insurance Authority (IA) regulations.
- Manage financial reporting, including timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Develop and implement effective internal controls and risk management frameworks.
- Collaborate with senior management and business units to assess and optimize financial strategies and opportunities.
- Drive business growth and expansion initiatives through financial analysis and evaluation of investment opportunities.
- Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, regulators, and financial institutions.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes impacting the insurance sector.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. MBA or CPA qualification is preferred.
- Extensive experience in financial management roles within the insurance industry, with a focus on life insurance.
- Thorough knowledge of Insurance Authority regulations and accounting standards.
- Proven track record of successfully leading financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Strong understanding of internal controls, risk management, and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional leadership abilities, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to drive and manage change in a dynamic business environment.
- Fluency in English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin) is required.
