- Manage a team either directly employed or third party sourced of developers, testers, and technical support staff to ensure that software applications are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Develop and implement software development processes and best practices to ensure that the team delivers high-quality, reliable software.
- Collaborate with other stakeholders within the organisation or via third parties, including business analysts, project managers, and technical architects to ensure that applications support the strategic goals of the business.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the team, including code review, design review, and technical problem-solving.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate emerging technologies and trends in software development to ensure Meiyume is using the most appropriate tools and techniques to develop software.
- Manage the application lifecycle, including planning, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Develop and manage the application development budget, including forecasting, tracking, and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with software development best practices, security standards, and data privacy regulations.
- Establish metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of the software development team and continuously improve performance.
- Manage and coach a team of application analysts and specialists, ensuring their development and growth.
- Prioritises areas for biggest return on investment with process re-engineering through automation and/or artificial intelligence globally through leading a team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation.
- Develop and implement a digitalisation roadmap, including timelines, milestones, and return on investment in the areas of automation, artificial intelligence for existing applications.
- Implement data-driven decision-making processes to drive organisational performance and improve customer experience.
- Working with the Senior Manager – Transformation codevelop a roadmap for the globalisation of every application used today in Meiyume.
- Responsible for ensuring Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met for the application support through leading a team and third-party vendors.
- Define and build an effective application monitoring roadmap that improves with time.
- Ensure strong documentation exists for technical specifications, application architecture and procedures for applications.
- Manage the business relationship to ensure buy-in and advocacy for business change activities with internal business, IT, project teams and third-party consultants to develop a shared understanding.
- Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices related to software development / automation and incorporate them into the organisation's strategy.

- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in software development, with at least 2 years of experience in a management role.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively.
- Excellent project management skills, with experience in Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Knowledge of software development best practices, including design patterns, testing techniques, and code quality standards.
- Experience with software development tools such as version control, bug tracking, and continuous integration.

With an annual budget consisting of opex and capex this position is responsible for ensuring the rollout of the One ERP project to various Meiyume's businesses globally across eight locations including United States, United Kingdom, France, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Hong Kong, and China.
Full responsibility for ensuring the highest possible satisfaction of business team members at Meiyume locations globally through effective design, implementation, and support. Any interruption or outage of any component of this ERP project could cause an immediate discontinuance in the ability for:
• Manufacturing sites to manufacture products,
• Warehouses / distribution centres to ship products and receive raw materials,
• Offices to communicate using tools such productivity tools and critical ERP systems.
In short, Meiyume's business could come to an immediate halt if the responsibilities of this position are not executed to an extremely high level of standard. The cost impact of such an outage would far exceed the annual budget for which the position maintains responsibility.
