- Render technical support for the faculty members and research staff/student projects;
- Ensure that users work in a proper manner and comply with safety regulations, especially handling chemicals;
- Provide technical assistance on the installation, maintenance & calibration of instruments and be responsible for new instrument procurement for the teaching/research laboratories and mechanical workshop;
- Assist the Senior Technical Officer/Manager in developing the teaching course and restructuring existing laboratories; and
- Perform any ad hoc responsibilities as assigned by supervisors.

The Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE) at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology is searching for candidates to apply for the above UGC-funded positions.
The appointees will be responsible for providing technical support to the UG/PG programs and the related laboratories of MAE. Duties include:
Applicants should have a bachelor's degree in engineering or a relevant higher diploma/higher certificate, with 3 years of post-qualification working experience in mechanical fabrication and instrument/electronic system development. Practical skills & experience in 3-D printing are highly preferred. The candidates should be a team player, self-motivated and able to multi-task, with a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to work independently. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
