Technician
The School of Biomedical Sciences (SBS) in CUHK Faculty of Medicine strives to nurture health professionals and the next generation of biomedical scientists to engage in research, entrepreneurship, and health services.
Information about the School and our undergraduate programme is available at .We are looking for a passionate and energetic candidate to join the Undergraduate Office of the School of Biomedical Sciences for the post of Technician.
The appointee will be responsible for (a) assisting teachers in preparing and running laboratory courses for BSc in Biomedical Sciences Programme; (b) maintaining laboratory equipment and the daily operation of the student laboratories; and (c) performing other duties as assigned.
Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor's degree or above in Biomedical Sciences or related disciplines; (ii) good knowledge of techniques, such as cell culture (primary cell culture, cell line, microbial culture), molecular biology, biochemical analysis, and microscopy; (iii) experience in handling animal experiments; (iv) some experience in laboratory management; and (v) a highly organised and independent work attitude, and the ability to communicate effectively and enjoy teamwork.
Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to satisfactory performance and mutual agreement.
