- Support the Hong Kong business verticals with legal advice on a broad range of operational and business matters spanning from regulatory, intellectual property, e-commerce, employment, privacy, competition, and technology issues.
- Advise, draft, and negotiate a wide range of contracts with third parties such as marketing partners, suppliers, and restaurants.
- Review products, features, and initiatives to provide practical business-driven legal advice while managing legal risk.
- Be a legal business partner in initiatives that influence all aspects of the business.
- Collaborate with our legal teams in Berlin HQ and the APAC region to ensure standardization and alignment on legal matters.
- Support continuous improvement of standard agreements and legal processes.
- Instruct and manage external advisors and counsel, as necessary.
- Bachelor's Degree in Law and called to the Hong Kong (or other commonwealth jurisdictions).
- 2-5 years PQE, preferably with experience dealing with legal commercial matters at a law firm or in-house department at a platform, e-commerce, or internet technology company.
- Competition, privacy law and regulatory experience is preferred but not mandatory
- Strong legal knowledge, contract negotiations, writing, and drafting skills.
- Experience in fast-paced, entrepreneurial, start-up/technology environments with the ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously under tight deadlines and pressure.
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in English. In addition, the ability to communicate in Cantonese, and/or Mandarin languages would be preferred but not mandatory.
- Great interpersonal, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience navigating stakeholders through highly ambiguous situations.
