- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the life and health insurance landscape across all markets covered, with a specific focus on critical illness product trends.
- Conduct research into key product trends across all Asia markets, identify specific gaps in product offers and design new solutions to address these gaps, with the support of local product development resources.
- Lead the development and implementation of new propositions to address observed customer needs and client-specific co-creation requests, across all markets within scope and following the strategic proposition innovation roadmap.
- Drive the process for obtaining internal product approvals for newly developed solutions including creation of Minimally Viable Products (MVPs), risk management assessments, internal stakeholder management and project management.
- Market newly developed concepts to potential clients and customize propositions based on specific market needs, regulations and existing practice.
- Provide implementation and project management support to local business units for product-specific initiatives and selected reinsurance tenders as required, including internal and external stakeholder management.
- Key Account Management (KAM) responsibility for at least three multinational clients, acting as the main contact for all multinational client queries and interactions at a regional level.
- Develop and maintain deep relationships with all client stakeholders at a regional level and local level as required. Analyse all publicly available information and match the strategic direction of each client with specific Munich Re propositions to drive sustainable growth.
- Support the Propositions team in the general marketing of Munich Re's propositions (including software, services and speciality lines of business) across the markets in scope. Develop and maintain Asia-specific marketing material in respect of Munich Re's relevant propositions and services for use in general marketing, reinsurance tenders and other marketing initiatives.
- Draft, maintain and obtain approval for all multinational client strategy papers and maintain all internal and external multinational client information decks, including quarterly financial reporting.
- Prepare relevant information, co-ordinate, attend and chair all internal multi-national client meetings and external meetings as KAM for specific multinational clients.
- Support all client-specific surveys and other key initiatives across the region as an owner, or in an oversight or project management capacity, as required.
- Manage projects and resources required for any client-specific initiatives or opportunities identified.
- Qualified Actuary with 10 years or more experience in Asian markets and technical competence in actuarial disciplines.
- Extensive knowledge and experience of life insurance products, specifically critical illness, and distribution channels across Asia and a proven track record of developing and implementing new propositions.
- A preference is given to candidates with prior experience in both direct insurance and reinsurance companies and candidates with prior experience in technical marketing or client management.
- Strong analytical, risk management and problem-solving skills, combined with sound judgement, commercial awareness and a desire to find unique and creative solutions to various analytical problems and new or innovative concepts.
- Strong English written and verbal communication skills and exceptional presentation skills. Fluency in another language spoken across the markets covered is a plus.
- Strong collaboration, co-ordination and stakeholder management skills, with demonstrable project management experience and an ability to work with a range of experts across multiple functional and geographical areas and varying levels of seniority.
- An ability to build and maintain effective professional relationships with all stakeholders based on trust in a constructive and collaborative manner.
- The competence and mindset to add value in areas outside of your immediate area of expertise, to support Munich Re's growth ambitions and an ability to self-manage work and drive new projects where no established processes currently exist.

We are seeking a Senior Actuary to lead our multinational client activities and support proposition innovation across Munich Re's Life and Health businesses in Asia, the Middle East and Africa. This unique role combines responsibilities for multinational client management and proposition innovation and provides an opportunity to gain exposure to multiple business problems and solutions in diverse markets. It would suit a self-motivated individual with a passion for professional client management, innovation and an ability to develop new solutions based on observed client needs. You will be expected to make a significant contribution to the enhancement of our propositions and other business solutions, to support Munich Re's growth ambitions across the markets concerned. The Proposition Studio develops new and innovative life and health propositions across all lines of individual business, distribution channels and markets mentioned above. The team also has full responsibility for the multinational client management function across Munich Re's Asian markets.The position is based in Hong Kong and reports to the Chief Propositions Officer, Asia, Middle East and Africa,supported by the Propositions Studio based in Hong Kong, the Digital Solutions team based in Singapore and various proposition innovation experts in Asia, The Middle East and Africa..
