- Maintain governance and oversight of internal and external insurance partners from the bank's perspective, across GPB and retail segment
- Oversee sales journey, process, and controls to manage distribution risks across retail and GPB. Collaborate with Distribution, HSBC Life and Second line of defense to ensure distribution risks are identified and effectively managed
- Responsible for insurance product / third party onboarding and ongoing review in line with HSBC standards and FIM, across the continuum
- Work with HSBC Life on product requirements and development as well as commercialization strategies and tactical campaigns with segment specific proposition, representing distributor's needs
- Lead insurance distribution initiatives such as process streamlining and system enhancements to improve frontline / client experience
- Ensure the timely implementation of regulatory initiatives related to insurance distribution in a commercially viable manner whilst ensuring reputational risk impact is mitigated and/or minimised
- Work with HSBC Life and accountable for insurance distribution training materials and frontline communications Requirements
- Extensive knowledge and 10-15 years of experience in insurance products and platforms
- Extensive experience and proven track record in designing and implementing policies and procedures in a matrix environment, with a client centric mindset and strong awareness in managing risk
- Knowledge of corporate governance requirements for banks
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Professional insurance qualification
- Fluency in English and Cantonese. Proficiency in Mandarin is beneficial but not essential
