Full-time / Part-time Nurse(s) / Assistant Nurse(s)
The appointee(s) will be responsible for (a) conducting diabetes assessment and complication screening as well as providing patient education for various diabetes service and research programmes of the Hong Kong Institute of Diabetes and Obesity; (b) performing blood-taking, clinical data documentation and analysis, and patient report compilation; (c) providing assistance in the community outreach and diabetes prevention programmes; and (d) performing other tasks as assigned by the supervisors. In-service training, including screening procedures and patient education, will be provided where appropriate.
Applicants should be/have (i) enrolled nurses (for Assistant Nurse) or registered nurses (for Nurse) in Hong Kong; (ii) a valid Practising Certificate issued by The Nursing Council of Hong Kong; (iii) at least 5 years' post-registration experience in the clinical field, preferably in diabetes management and education; (iv) good communication skills in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua); (v) basic computer knowledge (such as MS Word and Excel); and (vi) polite, patient and mature. Experience in clinical assessment or complication screening, including blood-taking, will be advantageous.
Appointment will initially be made on a 1-year contract, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
