- Offering administrative support to communications and branding events and activities, as well as publications;
- Providing administrative support to the DPAC including scheduling meetings and appointments, arranging travels, answering phone enquiries and managing an efficient filing system;
- Providing office administration and personnel support including but not limited to new staff orientation, office safety, staff performance and development review administration and office renovation; liaising with vendors to provide training courses for colleagues; updating the unit's website; maintaining office equipment; and organizing engagement activities for colleagues;
- Acting as the contact point to disseminate the University's announcements and promotional activities and relate messages and enquiries to relevant colleagues for handling;
- Assisting in budget control, maintaining a sufficient cash flow and processing online staff expenses reimbursement;
- Offering support to duties including but not limited to e-procurement, ordering stationeries and office supplies, managing P-cards, providing logistic and administrative support, and setting up and restoring venues for events; and
- Performing any other duties as needs arise.

The University is seeking a high-caliber individual to provide administrative support to the Director of Public Affairs and Communications (DPAC), perform central office administration and offer communications support in the Public Affairs and Communications unit of the Global Engagement and Communications Office. This job opening is ideal for candidates seeking a dynamic work environment that offers many opportunities to gain experience in corporate communications, such as media relations, internal and external communications, and branding.
The appointee will be responsible for providing services in the following areas:
Applicants should have a bachelor's degree or equivalent, with at least 3 years of relevant and solid working experience related to administrative works and office administration. Experience in education and/or corporate communications is preferred. Ideal applicants should be mature, detail-minded, thoughtful, organized and meticulous with good communication and interpersonal skills. They should also be able to multi-task, work independently and under pressure, and be a good team player. An excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua) is required. Proficiency in computer software applications including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Chinese Word Processing, is necessary. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
