- Undertake smart traffic and transportation project development and research
- Support the development of the IoT and geospatial applications, geodatabase development and GeoAI algorithms design
- Assist on prototype design, GeoAI application implementation and overall system integration, programming, testing, refinement and documentation
- Develop educational materials and deliver trainings/workshops to students
- Provide administrative support and other research-related duties to the supervisor
- A bachelor degree or above in Engineering, Information Technology, Geo-informatics, Computer/Data Science and AI, or other related disciplines
- 1 to 2 years of relevant work experience for System Officer (at the rank of officer)
- Familiar with GIS and CSDI is preferred but not required
- Experience in managing industrial and/or government projects
- Good command in written and spoken English and Chinese
- Preference will be given to those who have demonstrated experience in research project management and academic publication

The Science Unit () would like to invite applications for the above-mentioned post.
The appointee will join the research team led by Prof.
Paulina Wong () and will be working on a collaborative industry project involved GeoAI research and software development, focused on smart transportation disciplines.
Responsibilities
The commencing salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits, where applicable, include annual leave, medical and dental benefits, and mandatory provident fund.
The appointment start date is flexible and can commence from July 2024 onwards. Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract for a period of up to 14 months.
