- The ideal candidate will possess essential skills such as a solid understanding of data cabling, hands-on experience with CAT-5e, CAT-6, fibre optic termination and proficiency in fault-finding with OTDR and Fluke testing equipment.
- Designing, maintaining and supporting the network infrastructure.
- Monitoring system performance and ensuring reliability and availability.
- Recommending infrastructure solutions to meet business requirements in compliance with IT policy & procedure.
- Providing Level 2 support and troubleshooting as and when required.
- You possess a Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
- You have at least 1 year of experience, ideally within a Data Engineer or Network Engineer / Systems Engineer role.
- You pay strong attention to detail and deliver work that is of a high standard
- You enjoy finding creative solutions to problems
- You are a strong team player who can manage multiple stakeholders
- It is essential that candidates be proficient in the installation termination and testing of fibreoptic cable as well as fault finding within data centres and technology rooms using equipment such as OTDR and fluke testers.
- Experience with MOPS and DPK schedules is highly desirable. Additionally, candidates with knowledge of end-user ticketing services, strong Excel skills, and exceptional interpersonal skills will excel in our dynamic team environment.
