- Provide commercially sensitive, pragmatic and practical legal advice to the business and corporate functions on a variety of legal, regulatory and governance related matters
- Address legal and regulatory issues arising from business transactions
- Draft and review of commercial agreements, insurance policy provisions and marketing materials etc.
- Proactively identify legal and regulatory risk in the business and provide alternative solutions to reduce or mitigate the risk while skillfully managing legal and practical business considerations
- Review consultation papers from regulatory bodies and prepare summaries
- Prepare legal memos for new legislation and regulation updates
- Work closely with business functions to ensure all legal and regulatory requirements are adhered
- Work closely with Compliance team to provide holistic support to the business
- Assist in ad-hoc compliance related projects as assigned
- Hong Kong qualified Solicitor with at least 6 years' post-qualification experience gained from private or in-house practice, preferably in insurance or financial services sector
- Knowledge of insurance products and insurance operation a plus
- Strong commercial judgment
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholder relationship
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment
- Personal authority, integrity and ethics
- Self-starter and strong team player
- Fluent in spoken and written English and Chinese
