Major Duties

: (a) To perform teaching duties including supervision of students' projects and fieldwork placement; (b) To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration; (c) To develop programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials including feasibility study and syllabus writing; (d) To assist in validation and accreditation of programmes; and (e) To participate in networking with industry / industrial attachments, departmental projects and functions including but not limited to consultancy services, research studies, seminars, exhibitions and graduation show

Requirements : (a) A relevant recognised degree in Fashion Design, or equivalent professional qualification, preferably with a post-graduate qualification; (b) At least 3 years' relevant teaching and/or industry experience; (c) Good teaching, administrative, interpersonal and team building skills; (d) Good communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese, preferably including Putonghua; (e) High motivation for programme and new project development; (f) Preferably with hands-on experience in the relevant field; and (g) Records of linkage with industry / professional bodies will be an advantage

Notes : (1) Candidates with less experience may be considered for the post of "Term / Temporary / Part-time Assistant Lecturer" in the rank of Teaching Associate. (2) Shortlisted candidate will be required to take a written assessment. (3) Appointees may be required to work irregular hours / outside normal office hours and/or at different work locations on a need basis.
