    Role

    Hotel Manager is to assist Regional Vice President – Operations in Asia and Managing Director to manage the luxury property, The Langham, Hong Kong. He / she has to communicate clearly the Hotel direction and goals to a team of management and brining the team to achieve it.

    Responsibilities

  • Responsible for acting on behalf of the Managing Director during his/ her absence to the effect of running the hotel on a day-to-day basis.
  • Manage operations functions of the hotel effectively including Rooms, Food and Beverage and Engineering divisions.
  • Review the daily financial performance and attend to all matters pertaining to the well being and efficient operation of the hotel.
  • Motivate and direct the hotel operations in ensuring a professional and guest service focused.
  • Maintain management visibility throughout the hotel and ensure that hotel guests have easy access to hotel management.
  • Ensure quality assurance standards are maintained and process improvement are executed while compliance at all times with internal standards auditing are met.
  • Requirement .

    Qualifications

  • Diploma/Degree/Professional Qualifications in Hotel Management or relevant disciplines.
  • Minimum of 10-year hotel experience at senior management level; Current capacity at Hotel Manager / Resident Manager in international hotel chain is base requirement.
  • Possess proven track record with a stable career history in Southeast Asian countries, Greater China or Hong Kong. Career background from Rooms Division is required.
  • Complete knowledge in the functions essential to operate hotels with more than 500 rooms.
  • Present with strong entrepreneurial style, excellent people skills and business acumen.
  • Be able to apply highly customer-orientated standards to lead and motivate operations teams.
  • A thorough knowledge of hotel's operating policies and standards is expected.
  • Ability to co-ordinate functions into efficient and coherent operation.
  • Good owner relationship is always important.
  • Candidates with more experience and proven track record of wider responsibilities will be considered as General Manager.
