    Director of Capital Market Research, Asia Pacific collaborates with the Investor Thought Leadership team and Asia Pacific research teams to analyze real estate trends, economic issues, and capital markets across major Asia Pacific regions. This role, requires a keen interest in real estate economics, to provide comprehensive insights for both occupiers and investors.
    Key Responsibilities:
    • Understand and navigate key sources of economic and real estate data (e.g. Macrobond, CEIC, Capital IQ, Oxford Economics, MSCI Real Capital Analytics, Bloomberg, PERE and Preqin)
    • Collaborate with in-country teams to undertake quantitative and qualitative analysis on market fundamentals and convert our analysis into transparent; logical and defensible market forecasts.
    • Become a trusted partner for CBRE capital markets professionals and leadership across Asia Pacific
    • Lead the creation of key Asia Pacific Capital Market Publications, from data collection and analysis through to final production, in conjunction with direct reports and peers across the organization regionally and globally.
    • Work with global, and local teams to develop a capital market research agenda and materials for publication.
    • Supervise a pool of research analysts, including technical guidance, data management and visualization, project planning, setting goals and managing performance.
    • lead other complex, global projects that may extend beyond the scope of pure research-driven data capture and analysis.
    • Lead in the Asia Pacific forecasting exercise every six months.
    • Produce professional presentations for internal and external clients

    Requirements and qualifications:
    • Deep understanding of Asia Pacific macroeconomics and real estate.
    • Minimum 7 years of commercial real estate research experience, preferably with exposure to property investment, fundraising or financing. Priority to candidates with exposure across multiple markets
    • An undergraduate degree is required; but a master's degree is preferred preferably in business, finance, economics, real estate, or urban planning.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.
    • Strong presentation skills and ability to present complex, detailed data in an engaging fashion to multiple audience types.
    • Requires knowledge of investment terms and principles and to conduct basic financial analysis.
    • Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.
    • Ability to handle and manipulate large amounts of data.
    • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office, and other data software.
