- Coordinate, manage and participate in the deployment and monitoring of eco-engineering projects/an oyster reef restoration project;
- Participate and coordinate fieldwork and laboratory work;
- Perform in-situ and ex-situ species identification; and
- Write report and analyze statistics.
- A PhD in Marine Biology/Ecology/Environmental Science/Conservation, or related disciplines with at least 3 years' experience in a leadership role in scientific projects;
- SCUBA diving qualifications and experience (e.g. PADI Open Water);
- Familiarity with academic and scientific writing;
- Familiarity with Hong Kong marine species, particularly fishes required.
- First aid qualifications and familiarity with remote spatial manning technology (e.g. GIS), DNA analysis techniques, and photography/drone manning preferred.

Candidates with a Bachelor's degree and no more than a total of 6 years of service at the University may be considered for appointment as Research Assistant.
