Role/ Department:

As part of the Global Funds Services Asia servicing team, the Senior Account Manager will be responsible for coordinating the account administration for complex Hedge Fund Services relationships. You will act as the technical resource for the team, be able to front of client requirements, keep up to date on market and industry info, and utilize your knowledge of the organisation to provide guidance on more complex issues.

Based in Hong Kong, this role will report to the Head of Client Services

The key responsibilities of the role include:

• Coordinates the account administration for complex Hedge Fund Services clients.
• Acts as a technical resource or expert for other account administrators on process or procedures for delivery of services.
• Anticipates and identifies clients' needs for service requests. Integrates knowledge of organization to service clients.
• Works with relationship manager in developing additional business, making client presentations, and coordinating servicing team.
• Analyzes account objectives to make improvements in servicing.
• Oversees development of appropriate action plans for client activities and ensures execution and follow up.
• Coordinates with servicing team on execution of client activity, communicating with client and vendors when appropriate.
• Identifies service efficiency enhancements, process improvements, and facilitates service delivery using creative and proactive measures.
• Operates independently; has in-depth knowledge of business unit / function.
• To be the technical and subject matter expert on the team and provide comprehensive, in-depth consulting and leadership to team and partners at a high technical level.
• Carries out activities that are large in scope, cross-functional and technically difficult.
• Role is balanced between high level operational execution and development, and execution of strategic direction of business function activities.
• Engage key stakeholders to understand business needs and requirements, and managed stated stakeholder needs
• Takes the lead in rolling out new system enhancement and procedures
• Develop and maintain an understanding of the industry and keep abreast of emerging industry trends

Skills/ Qualifications:

The successful candidate will benefit from having:

• Excellent oral and written communication skills are required, first class presentation and internal/external client servicing skills
• In-depth Functional / Industry Knowledge is required.
• Highly flexible and adaptable to change
• Technical skills / systems knowledge is required
• Leadership and organizational skills are needed to prioritize assignments and provide feedback to staff.
• Minimum of 8 years prior Fund accounting experience or relevant operational/accounting experience within the hedge Fund industry.
• Prior experience in effective oversight of teams and aligning handoffs between teams and processes.
• Knowledge of Enterprise and related Fund Accounting applications the ability to implement interfaces with other systems.
