    About the Role

    Partner with Business Units and Group functions to deliver our financial KPIs and long-term financial strategy.

    Roles and Responsibilities

    Partner with the business units and drive key financial metrics

  • Partner with Business Units (BUs) on the execution of local financial initiatives by providing valuable advice, support on strategy and business management, share standard methodologies across BUs and guidance on Group processes
  • First point of contact for BU CFOs, CAs and FCs and act as a communication bridge to ensure full alignment between BU and various Group Finance functions
  • Work with BUs to perform detailed analysis on key profit drivers such as claims, expenses and persistency
  • Drive and encourage the attitude of continuous in-force business management in order to deliver sustainable, quality results
  • Engage with BUs during regular management reporting

  • Regularly engage with the RCE Offices and BUs to understand the financial and business condition for external and internal management reporting.
  • Lead "Quarterly Finance Review" sessions with Business Units, ensuring relevant finance topics are covered comprehensively and facilitate communication between BUs and other Group Finance functions.
  • Drive key Group Finance led initiatives and processes:

  • Support the setting and communication of financial targets
  • Review and provide clear direction to BU's strategic plans, ensuring alignment with the Group Finance strategy
  • Liaise with Investor Relations, Group Distribution, RCE Offices and Business Units and support drafting of the external "Business Review" during results announcements.
  • Work with the BUs on items which require Group approval, such as distribution initiatives, product development and strategic project business.
  • Support Group Finance leadership team to make approval decisions and brief them on key risks and recommendations.
  • Minimum Job Requirement

  • University graduate with at least 10 years of proven experience
  • Qualified Actuary in a recognized international actuarial professional body
  • English (required) and Cantonese (preferred) speaker
  • Excellent relationship management, strong team building, and the ability to work across business divisions and functions to drive positive business outcomes
  • Ability to set strategic direction and influence key senior partners
  • Good business problem solving and analytical skills
  • Good teammate with strong coordination skills and ability to work with colleagues from various cultural backgrounds
  • Strong presentation and report writing skills
