Overview

A well-established leading securities and brokerage firm, with a global presence, is looking for an IT Manager to oversee their team in the Hong Kong office. This person will be responsible for managing all IT-related business initiatives, projects, and daily operations to meet the firm's business needs and requirements. This role offers an opportunity to lead and drive IT strategies, ensuring the effective utilization of technology to support the firm's objectives.

Role Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for managing and overseeing the IT Team and you need to ensure the successful delivery of all IT-related business initiatives, projects, and daily operations in alignment with the business need.
• Play a key role in developing and implementing a long-term IT strategic plan that supports the organization's goals and objectives.
• Handle system installation, upgrade, configuration, administration, troubleshooting, patching, and monitoring of information systems
• Provide solutions that streamline business and operational processes, with the goal of enhancing the overall customer experience for both internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure system security, stability and continuous enhancements.
• Identifying opportunities for improvement, implementing innovative technologies, and ensuring that systems and applications are optimized for maximum efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Manage vendors, suppliers, distributors and contract consultant.

Requirements

• Degree in Information Technology / Computer Science or related disciplines
• Minimum 10 years' experience in Securities or Financial industries, including 3 years in a managerial role.
• Solid hands-on experience in IT industry looking after Hardware, Software, Network & Infrastructure, Security and Telecommunications.
• Effectively communicate and collaborate with vendors, evaluate their products and services, negotiate contracts and pricing
• Strong communication skills are essential for collaborating with team members, presenting proposals to senior management, and facilitating effective communication between IT and other business units.
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin)
