- Support the key Business Finance responsibilities for ASP GB including reporting, cost management, annual plan and strategic analysis for senior management
- Lead the cost management across Banking Pillar maintaining robust controls, monitoring and oversight
- Support the cost management activities across GBM Finance team ensuring a consistent cost management controls, MIs and monitoring tools across GBM Pillars (GB and MSS)
- Develop and improve tools to streamline the MI generation and contribute to build analytical capabilities to drive insightful analysis
- Business partnering with regional and country business and product heads to deliver sound financial advice on business performance
- Manages financial analysis, commentary and interpretation of results as it relates to Asia Pacific
- Contribute to the Finance transformation agenda in Operating Model, Automation and Technology / Visualisation to achieve sustainable process improvements across GBM Pillars
- Drives and develops HSBC's understanding of how client, regulatory and environmental changes, and competitor strategies will impact demand for GB across the region Requirements
- Finance, Accounting, Mathematics or Economics qualification
- Ability to work and thrive in a fast changing, results-driven environment
- Commercially minded and customer focused with exceptional drive and commitment
- Outstanding leadership skills, demonstrating ability to use initiative and effect change through people in a large matrix organisation
- Ability to identify problems and offer solutions, and drive through their execution in a collective environment
- An understanding of Global Banking products would be advantageous
- Strong management information background, both in terms of required content, production processes and understanding what drives the numbers reported
- Varied finance career with exposure across multiple finance disciplines (such as Financial Accounting & Control; Business Information & Analysis; Financial & Regulatory Reporting, ALCM) with exposure to site, regional and global teams
- Good operating skills, including use of Microsoft Office, Programming ( Python), Visialisation tools ( Qlik, Tableau)
- Finance systems knowledge is advantageous (TM1, Omnia, etc.)
