  • Responsibilities

    The Trainee is mainly responsible for supporting the daily business activities of the Cross Asset Distribution Sales Teams - covering Private & Retail Bank Distribution in Hong Kong and Singapore. The job holder is to provide support on administrative tasks, pre and post trade administrations, reconciling trade details, drafting documentation, automate repetitive work process and other ad hoc tasks/projects as necessary.

  • Assist Sales team on daily workflow to optimize client services.
  • Work with internal Legal & Compliance etc teams on different product offering documents, legal agreements etc.
  • Check credit lines prior to trade execution and ensure requisite approvals are obtained where necessary.
  • Reconcile trade details with clients, traders, middle & back offices etc and optimize the operation efficiency & reduce risk.
  • Report to team / seniors on regular basis.
  • Coordinate after-sales services for clients including settlement, valuations publication etc.
  • Automate the recurring workload in existing platforms.
  • Profile required

  • Hold a relevant Bachelors or Master's degree in Mathematics, IT, Finance & Banking or similar.
  • Display of innovation, team spirit and time management
  • Strong communication and analytical skills, must be detail-oriented and proficient with numbers.
  • Able to work under pressure and quick on the feet.
  • A team player that is self-motivated and has a positive attitude and able to work independently.
  • Good IT programming skills is preferred.
  • Experience in investment banking, especially Equities, Fixed Income & Foreign Exchange, is a plus.
  • Fluent English and Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is mandatory.

  • This is a fixed term 12 month Trainee contract with Societe Generale. You will form part of the team on a full time basis. In order to apply for the Trainee position please ensure you have completed your qualification and will be available to work full time for the duration of the Trainee contract.
