- Provide independent recommendations on new credit applications and respond to waiver requests.
- Collaborate closely with business units to facilitate credit and lending activities.
- Conduct thorough evaluations of new credit applications, offering independent credit opinions.
- Prepare detailed annual reviews and manage renewals for bilateral facilities.
- Process waiver and amendment requests, providing independent recommendations to the management.
- Support credit portfolio monitoring through news monitoring and periodic reviews
- Participate in regional credit committee meetings, ensuring relevant and significant questions are raised and addressed during the deliberation of new credit applications.
- Engage in credit or other risk-related projects as they arise and be prepared to take on new responsibilitiesskills & experiences required.
- Bachelor degree or above in a relevant discipline
- At least 3 years of experience in corporate credit analysis or credit risk with a focus on China corporates in a corporate banking environment
- A understanding on china corporate lending market
- Strong credit analysis and writing skills
- Good presentation and communication skills; be able to collaborate closely with the front office and present in the credit committee
- Excellent command of English and Chinese (Mandarin/Cantonese)
- Qualifications such as HKMA ECF - Credit Risk Management or Certified Credit Risk Management Professional is an advantage
- Demonstrate a proactive attitude with strong willingness to learn; a team player
- Prior experience in other risk area - such as operational risk, climate risk, market risk would be a plus
