    The Department

    As part of the team overseeing donations related to Education, Early Childhood Development, and Talent Development, this role will conduct research on education-related issues and develop new initiatives to meet the community needs; assess and review donation applications, and support preparation of approval papers; plan Trust-initiated projects, to monitor the planning and implementation of Charities projects, and to liaise and maintain professional relationships with external partners.

    The Job

    • To conduct research on social issues and new initiatives related to Education, Early Childhood Development, and Talent Development , and support development of new projects or theme/issue strategies. Activities include literature review, industry/sector data analysis, in-house or externally managed surveys and focus groups, discussion with potential project partners, etc.
    • To assess and review donation applications' support-worthiness, including analysis of social issues, the applicant's background, the reasonableness and feasibility of proposed programme content and budget; and to liaise with applicants on proposal vetting. To liaise with applicants on proposals vetting and handle relevant administrative work. To support the preparation and drafting of donation papers and annexes.
    • To proactively engage and manage internal and external stakeholders in project development and execution, including but not limited to the Club's Finance and Procurement, NGOs, academia, schools-related bodies, consultants and agencies, government departments, technology experts etc. to ensure close collaboration with partners for an aligned goal
    • To monitor or support the monitoring of approved projects to ensure that they are implemented and completed according to schedule, pledged output and within the original agreed scope and budget. To ensure consistencies and accuracies in statistical / financial / progress reports and project updates. To assess project change requests and prepare documentations for internal approvals.
    • To prepare papers and compile statistical/ financial/ progress reports and project updates, and as well as participate in ad-hoc projects and prepare presentation materials and miscellaneous papers.
    • To assist in reviewing event invitations by grantees as part of the ongoing project monitoring process of approved projects, draft articles and speeches for publicity events, support PR / media initiatives.

    About You

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
    • At least 4-8 years of relevant experience, preferably with exposure to NGOs, public administration, consulting and professional services, policy research, or social service settings
    • Excellent communication and writing skills (both English and Chinese)
    • Good analytical and quantitative skills
    • Good project management abilities and personal effectiveness
    • Good interpersonal and teamwork skills

    Terms of Employment

    The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
