The School of Interdisciplinary Studies (SIS) was founded to enhance interdisciplinary research and collaboration. SIS is positioned at the intersection of excellence in interdisciplinary education and research.

The strategic focus of the School revolves around sustainability, underpinned by essential engineering sciences, paving the way for a smart future.

SIS seeks experienced Associate/ Assistant Professors of Teaching/ Senior Lecturers/ Lecturers who will (i) instruct various subjects within the Master of Science in Cross-disciplinary Technologies, concentrating on information systems, business analytics, electronic commerce, new media, smart manufacturing, artificial intelligence, and related fields, (ii) engage in promotional activities and admissions processes for the MScCT program, and (iii) fulfill additional administrative responsibilities as assigned by supervisors.

The Associate Professor of Teaching is anticipated to assume the role of Programme Director.

General Requirements

Candidates should possess (i) a doctoral degree in engineering, data science, computer science, business, information systems, artificial intelligence, or other pertinent fields; (ii) a minimum of three years of teaching experience in relevant courses along with relevant program administrative experience; and (iii) proficiency in both English and Chinese (including Mandarin).

Applicants with a strong academic foundation but limited teaching experience, or those with substantial teaching experience but lower qualifications, will also be considered.

Appointment

The terms of appointment will be competitive, with rank and remuneration commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Appointments will be made on a fixed-term contract of up to two years.
