    Major Duties
    :
    (a) To review and recommend improvements on corporate policies and programmes in relation to quality assurance and enhancement, and accreditation matters of the Institute; (b) To manage the daily operations and effective deployment of resources of the Office; (c) To lead the exercises related to accreditation and recognition by accreditation authorities and professional bodies on undergraduate and graduate degree programmes which are pitched at Hong Kong Qualifications Framework level 5 to 7; (d) To liaise with the accreditation authorities and professional bodies to develop and execute the accreditation approaches in relation to learning programme accreditation (LPA) exercises, re-LPA, programme area accreditation (PAA) and institutional review; (e) To maintain effective liaison with accreditation authorities and professional bodies, and educational institutions both in Hong Kong and overseas to keep abreast of the latest global trends and good practices in promoting and ensuring the quality, currency, relevancy and excellence of the programmes; (f) To support the programme teams and administrative units in effective implementation of robust quality management system for their learning programmes and operation; and (g) To ensure the quality of secretarial support and implementation of corporate policies in relation to quality assurance and enhancement matters

    Requirements : (a) A recognised degree, preferably a higher degree, in a relevant discipline or relevant professional qualification; (b) At least 10 years' relevant experience at an appropriate level of responsibility; (c) A good understanding on the Hong Kong Qualifications Framework, the recent development in accreditation standards, rules and regulations of accreditation authorities and professional bodies, as well as the vision, mission and strategic development of the Institute; (d) Proven records of networking ability for organization development and demonstrated experience in project management; (e) Solid experience in leading negotiation with officials from accreditation authorities and/or academic/administrative personnel from collaborating institutions on accreditation or academic matters; (f) Strong leadership ability, and good people management, interpersonal communication and team-building skills; (g) A firm commitment to cultivating a strong quality culture in the Institute and implementing initiatives to drive quality enhancement with demonstrable knowledge, skills and competence in the quality enhancement field; (h) All rounded experience in quality assurance, internal programme review and validation, LPA, re-LPA, PAA and institutional review; (i) Proven records of professional development and linkages with the industry; and (j) Good presentation skills and a high level of proficiency in both English and Chinese, preferably including Putonghua

    Notes : (1) The post is in the rank of Senior Manager. (2) The appointee may be required to perform duties at different sites and work irregular hours, shifts and on Saturdays and Sundays as necessary. (3) The remuneration package will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. (4) The appointee will work on Chai Wan Campus.
