- Proactive engagement, providing support to various underwriting business and ensuring:
- information received is understood and complete in order to process policies
- the administrative processes for the end- to-end policy lifecycle are run efficiently to support internal and external stakeholdersfor new and renewed accounts
- data quality and compliance with internal standards & guidelines and statutory requirements
- Ensure timely and complete documentation of underwriting files for traceability and audit purposes
- Work collaboratively with the offshore shared services team to ensure timely requests of quotes, name clearance and accurate binding of quotes and other ad-hoc tasks
- Foster positive relationship with internal and external counterparts to get a mutual understanding of their needs
- Timely and accurate updates on monthly and ad-hoc reporting
- Support other projects and ad-hoc tasks assigned by the Manager

DISCOVERyour opportunity
The Underwriting Assistant will be a team player in the HK Middle Office team and will perform tasks supporting the incoming and Fine Art & Specie (FAS) line of business. As an owner and principal facilitator of assigned accounts, the Underwriting Assistant will perform front-to-end activities throughout the life-cycle of renewal and prospect accounts from submission to expiration. The Underwriting Assistant will be engaged in ongoing development of his/her knowledge of commercial insurance related to his/her specialized line of business.
What will your essential responsibilities include?
You will report to the Operations Manager.

We're looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:
·Diploma graduate with 3 years' underwriting support experience in multinational environment. Fresh graduates in related disciplines will also be considered
·Good spoken and written English and Chinese
·Good communication skills with good team playing and eager to learn
·Attention to detail with good time management skills
·Good PC skills in MS Outlook, Word, Excel and Powrpoint
