The IT Technical Services & AV team (ITTS & AV) of Information Technology Services Center develops, implements and supports AV systems in central classrooms.

We are looking for a high-caliber individual to fill the position of A/V Specialist.

The appointee will work with a team of AV professionals to ensure the smooth operations of the AV systems in over 100 central classrooms and essential venues.

The appointee is also responsible for designing, evaluating, procuring and assisting in writing tenders for AV Systems.

Applicants should have a bachelor's degree or above with at least 10 years of experience in AV & IT technologies, plus at least 2 years in classroom operation & support position.

They should possess in-depth knowledge in modern AV technology which includes Crestron or other brand AV-over-IP, modern DSPs including BiAMP Tesira Series and QSYS Core series, Dante and AES67 networking audio, mixed-mode teaching provisioning, Shure DECT microphone provisioning, HDMI extension on fiber and copper, USB extension over IP, AV switching and laser projection technologies.

Applicants should be familiar with Cisco and Huawei switch configuration in the context of AV networking. Knowledge in data networking in general is highly preferred.

Experience in providing support and maintenance on performance and fault monitoring, audio tuning using Smaart v8/v9, OpenWRT/DD-WRT, incident management, project planning, scheduling, and workflow will be an added advantage.

Applicants should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, and good analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

They should also be able to work under pressure and as a good team player with self-initiative attitude.

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
