    Job Accountabilities

    • Support CIO Hong Kong & Singapore in implementation of Group Investment strategy
    • Perform analysis and provide input on all stages of Strategic Assets Allocation (SAA) development and implementation
    • Support the local implementation of the approved asset allocation, within the restriction and limits givens, i.e. tactical asset allocation
    • Provide assistance in portfolio construction, asset manager selection, investment expense management
    • Monitor and evaluate external asset managers
    • Assess risk-return trade-offs and drive discussion around risk mitigation for unrewarded risks; participate in developing (dynamic or static) risk mitigation strategies
    • Understand liability description and determine the minimum-risk position ("ALM") based on information provided by Life Actuarial/GI Actuarial
    • Support the investment income planning and forecasting
    • Support the preparation and arrangement of investment committees meeting, including the preparation of presentation and reports
    • Roll out investment strategies based on investment committee decision
    • Ensure compliance with Group governance standards (ZRP) and local statutory requirements are in place
    • Research, evaluate and stay up-to-date on the local market and macroeconomic situation

    Job Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in business-related disciplines, e.g. Finance, Accounting, Economics, with significant coursework (or minor) in investment subjects
    • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in institutional asset management, investment accounting, financial planning, actuarial or similar fields, in insurance industry
    • Post graduate degree in Finance, Economics or an MBA is an advantage
    • Certified or progressing toward the CFA is a plus but not required; candidate should be prepared to enroll in the CFA program
    • Knowledge of IFRS accounting principles for investments and derivatives
    • Knowledge of types of insurance liabilities (especially Life insurance products) backed by investments
    • Knowledge of ESG and sustainable investing is considered as a merit
    • Strong quantitative and analytical skills in finance and capital market
    • Familiar with investments, capital markets and investment structures, asset classes and derivatives
    • Experienced Bloomberg user plus proficient skills in MS Offices, especially Excel
    • Excellent command of both written and spoken English; basic communication in Cantonese and/or Mandarin is an advantage
