Applications are invited from outstanding young researchers for the position of Research Assistant Professor(s) in the Division of Social Science.

Appointees are expected to develop their own research programs in one of the major research areas of the Division, and take the lead on individual research projects including applications for competitive research funding.

They will also be involved in teaching or co-teaching postgraduate or undergraduate courses.

Applicants should be recent PhD graduates (within five years) in social science related disciplines. The ideal candidates should have a clear commitment to research and teaching excellence. A strong publication record and demonstrated potential for success in application for extramural funding would be advantageous.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will be made on a fixed-term 2-year contract, renewable subject to performance, funding availability and mutual agreement. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract. Fringe benefits include annual leave, medical and dental benefits. Housing allowance may be provided where applicable.
