Ensure processes needed for the Quality Management System (QMS) are established, implemented and maintained, including the appropriate Key Performance Indicators (KPI) Strives to increase and maintain an exemplary Quality Index Ensures compliance with national and international quality standards, aviation legislation, and customer requirements of quality; while adhering to corporate policy Manages tasking within other departments concerning quality topics Provides requested quality relevant data and information to all company staff Cooperates with other business units according to instructions and guidelines of Howmet. Independent direction and management of the quality staff including periodic performance reviews or performance evaluations Responsible for the quality budget Supervises, sets goals and targets, and ensures compliance for all subordinate staff within the quality department. Defining of Quality policy in coordination with corporate and local guidance Planning, implementation, compliance, and periodic review of the QMS to include, reporting the actual status and effectiveness to management Adjustment of the QMS to corporate and local business requirements, standards, and guidelines. Identification of quality problems. Develop, initiate and review corrective measures of the QMS Conduct or coordinate instructions for quality assurance Represent the company's best interests in QMS matters that derive from customers or concerned institutions; including the participation in intragroup Quality Councils with voting rights Act as the Quality Management Representative to organize, execute and supervise all internal and external audit activities (suppliers, customers, certification bodies, authorities, etc) Act as TFP to support applicable IMEX compliance with BU/Corporate procedures and government regulations
