What is the opportunity?

As the AD / Director, Regulatory and Controls Change Management, you will be working with Business Head, Business Manager and Front Office to define control requirements pertaining to new and updated regulations as well as new change programs.

What will you do?

  • Work with the relevant functions and other stakeholders to identify risk and mitigation measures to address regulatory controls and policy concerns for regulatory changes or new rules or policies to be implemented
  • Improve risk culture/ raise risk awareness through training, communications, and working with Front Office on new requirements and implementation effectiveness
  • Provide advisory in relation to the business risk and control for the front office pertaining to new and updated regulations as well as new change programs
  • Draft/ review the business and operational risk management policies and practices in Wealth Management Asia for new regulations/ new change programs
  • Assist to execute remediation of compliance deficiencies within Wealth Management Asia for any new risks or new gaps identified
  • Lead &/or participate in special projects – work with Front Office to ascertain that the risks for the project are properly identified and adequately addressed/ mitigated
  • Support operational risk matters, including audit coordination, information security & privacy issues and others as directed

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • University degree in Business Administration, Finance or other relevant professional qualifications
  • At least 10 years’ relevant experience in private banking/ wealth management platform
  • Ability to lead/ manage projects, knowledge of project management framework, executed initiatives that require complex stakeholder management across multiple teams/ groups
  • Strong understanding of operational risk practices and regulatory requirements and expectations in Wealth Management business with a control mindset
  • Experience from working in a variety of businesses within Wealth Management
  • Travel to regional locations of coverage is required
  • Strong presentation and communication (verbal and written skills)
  • Good system knowledge such as Avaloq

Nice-to-have

  • Strong knowledge of Wealth Management products will be an advantage
