We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Research Analyst .

Principal Responsibilities

  • To undertake independent, detail and objective analysis on global / local fund management companies and mutual funds to assess their vulnerability to what could be considered as reputational risk
  • Prepare qualitative and quantitative research report consistent with the prevailing quality standards on a regular and ad hoc basis via a multi-faceted approach
  • Summarize and keep abreast the industry’s key developments and latest trends including China and support the global thought leadership research
  • Maintain Group internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators
  • Understand and follow relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which the analyst involved, specifically any compliance policy including, inter alia, the Group compliance policy
  • Exhibit flexibility in taking other administrative and extending support wherever required
  • Qualifications

    Requirements

  • Extensive and keen knowledge of regulations and practices in asset management companies, mutual funds, ETFs, REITs, Discretionary Portfolios, Managed Solutions in Global and Asia landscapes including China
  • Experience in investment and portfolio management concepts developed both personally and professionally ideally gained from international wealth management or asset management with relevant accreditation would be added value
  • Analytical detail mindset and articulate sources of risk by following a disciplined research process
  • Complete high standard detail professional research report independently within deadlines
  • Positive team player with good time management skills, ability to multi-task and shifting priorities
  • Good interpersonal skills to communicate and connect remotely in discussing financial concepts and strategies in a concise and logical manner
  • University degree qualified, preferably in a finance related or numeric discipline. Qualified CFA, FRM or studying for the equivalent would be desirable
  • Strong data analytics, problem solving and quantitative product skills, with experience working with excel and financial software tools, such as Bloomberg, Morningstar, WIND etc
  • Language capability as required by market, English and Chinese are required including fluent Mandarin would be an asset
  • To be considered for this role, the relevant rights to work in Hong Kong is required.
