Global Procurement Manager (Jacket & Swimwear) (BB-82F69)

Responsibilities


  • Build the procurement strategy, share it with cells team members and vendors and follow execution


  • Define the operational budget (volume, price, country, capacity allocation, etc.) of his/her perimeter with other team members


  • Make Global benchmark (look at market intelligence, mega trends, best countries), sourcing fairs


  • Develop and populate fair business behavior keeping in mind social compliance and environmental as a priority


  • Source new vendor/country and present it to the leadership team to get their comments/advice


  • Conduct Supplier Relationship Management approach


  • Work with the Fabric Lab to build Fabric strategy


  • Create the planning to ensure the best lead time between files and final delivery


  • Be the key contact with PM before PO validation (files/trends handover, buying trip allocation and budget, definition of target price and sample selection)

  • Coordinate with capacity planner for volume allocation

  • Negotiate prices directly with the service providers

    • Requirements


  • Form 5 or above

  • Minimum 10 years relevant experience of which 5 years in Jacket and Swimwear

  • An experience in managerial or strategic role in designing, buying or sourcing environment is an advantage

  • Strong technical knowledge in Jacket and Swimwear industry up to a level to be able to assess production comments/quality and make competent decisions on alternatives

  • Good command of spoken & written English. Communication in French or Chinese is a definite advantage

  • Effective negotiation, influencing and sourcing skills

  • Product-oriented, proactive, dynamic with excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • A team player with strategic vision

  • Willing to travel and be flexible
