Position Description

Corporate Treasury enables and executes well-informed management decisions that optimize earnings, capital and liquidity for the benefit of stakeholders - Enterprise Capital Management (“ECM”) is a team within Corporate Treasury that focuses on the efficient management of the Firm’s capital resources. We are looking for a candidate to join the International team within ECM, which is responsible for the overall management of capital for all entities outside of the US.

The candidate will join a small team focusing on Asia and is expected to be a subject matter expert on capital management in the region - advising and working in partnership with the different Lines of Business, Risk Management, and in-country Treasury and Finance teams to build strong working relationships across functions and countries, as well as with different levels of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Line of Business support to understand and respond efficiently to potential trades across all asset classes - advising on the capital impact of new products, structured trades and hedging strategies
  • Subject matter expert with a strong knowledge of US capital regulations as well as keeping up to date of the various country specific capital regulations across Asia
  • Work with Country Finance and Risk teams on legal entity capital management activities such as the Internal Capital Guidelines (“IGL”) and Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (“ICAAP”) across Asia
  • Review capital resources with country CFOs to ensure the most efficient capital management of legal entities in Asia - provide appropriate challenge and due diligence
  • Implement Enterprise Capital Management initiatives and capital training to the APAC region
  • Provide Risk Weighted Assets (“RWA”) analyses and other capital management reporting as needed
  • Key Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, a team player
  • Curious, proactive, and detailed
  • Can work independently and under time constraints with live trades
  • Experience and knowledge in legal entity accounting and rules in Asia
  • Knowledge of financial products, risk (i.e. VaR), and pricing would be helpful
  • Some knowledge of US Basel 3 (Standardized and Advanced) and BCBS capital regulations
  • Experience with SQL/Programming knowledge/Excel VBA or Macros would be advantageous
