Position Purpose

The role of the Head of Client Referential APAC is to ensure that, throughout the APAC Region:

- this referential systems/ static data are kept up-to-date and in timely manner
- procedures exist and are followed to ensure consistent data are recorded in systems
- adequate controls over input, transfers between systems, frequency of updates, etc.
are in place to ensure the data quality
- remediation plans to clean up existing data recorded in applications are defined and
carried out
- the global/ regional and local projects for referential perimeter are carried in
accordance with the agreed timetable involving all required stakeholders


Direct Responsibilities

- Steers the referential data quality management framework in APAC, in particular by ensuring the standardization and alignment of the processes and managing effective escalation and remediation process
- Ensures the BAU process for input, update and validation of referential/ static data by his teams is clearly defined and executed across APAC in coherent and timely manner

- Reports on data quality topics to the Head of CLM APAC and in the different related committees
- Participates in the coordination with data owners / IT to identify, define, chart and manage key data, including following up on KPI or KQI results
- Represents the interests of the APAC CLM in various projects and inter-departmental forums
- Participates in promoting data governance and improving best practices to help drive execution excellence
- Coordinates with Businesses and Functions to manage data quality execution
- Participates in the coordination with data owners to identify, define, prioritize and manage data quality issues and remediation actions
- Ensures that the members of his community have the appropriate expertise and knowledge. Promotes the sharing of systems and processes to avoid replication and ensures availability of communication and documentation around them;

- Ensures that proper controls framework around data is in place and compliant with Group requirement and any applicable regulation

- Ensures monitoring, escalation and resolution process of data quality issues by facilitating adequate interactions between data owners and data inputters;

- Ensures effective implementation of data quality management systems and tools;

- Ensures the adequate allocation of resources and their training for the assigned tasks

Contributing Responsibilities

- Contribute to the Permanent Control framework

Technical and Behavioral Competencies required

- Strong project leadership and management skills to lead organizational change in order to effectively meet strategic and tactical goals
- Strong written and verbal communications skills required; must be equally comfortable discussing the enterprise information management strategic perspective with executives as well as implementation details with operational staff and IT
- Organizational agility with the ability to drive large, cross-functional data management programs, involving coordination with multiple stakeholders
- Ability to help define and articulate the enterprise data management strategic vision and translate it into tactical implementable steps
- Strategic decision-making skills with a high degree of latitude

Experience and Qualifications required

- 8+ years’ experience in either business analyst, project management or internal controls / operational risk role
- Experience in communicating with different stakeholders
- Experience in issues and projects management, preferably in an internal controls environment
- Knowledge of Client Management operations and IT infrastructure an advantage
- Knowledge of Corporate Credit lifecycle and IT and committee infrastructure and advantage
