Position Summary The primary responsibility of a Business Development Manager is to become a product expert, working with channel partners, stimulating purchase demand and closing sales. In this independent contributor role, you must be comfortable identifying, pursuing and closing cold/warm leads with the ability to analyze possible solutions and take appropriate actions to produce high levels of customer satisfaction. To excel in this role, you will be an active listener with excellent levels of communication, a dedication and drive for boosting sales, and forging strong relationships with clients while being a positive and proactive representative of the company and our core values. Responsibilities Delivering sales targets and meeting KPI's through the management of a mixed portfolio of new business and existing clients Masterfully managing an existing portfolio of clients to maximise both revenue and profits Identifying new sales opportunities and driving revenue through face-to-face and telephone outbound sales to new prospects and lapsed customers Become a master of Dynata products and services and how to customize these products for different business customer segments through a deep understanding of customer needs and requirements Achieve and exceed quarterly revenue and profit quotas and lead indicator performance metrics Sourcing opportunities through research and networking, actively following industry trends locally and internationally Preparing a wide range of written proposals including full costing quotations Developing and executing action plans from researching business opportunities and viable income streams Requirements Education and Experience University degree with a business focus Over 5 years experience in a similar business development role a preference for candidates with B2B sales experience A successful track record in managing complex sales within a corporate environment Knowledge in Market Research, SAAS, or data analytics environment highly regarded but not necessary Specialised skills Expert proficiency in MS Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint Knowledge of strategic selling skills Key traits A hands-on, proactive and motivated 'go getter' who thrives in a sales environment and has the energy and enthusiasm to grow and develop in a fast-growing business An exceptional relationship builder, working to uncover client needs and requirements to act as a strategic partner in your clients business High level communicator, listens actively and seeks to first understand and approach challenges with a curious mindset Ability to work effective independently and harmoniously with a team, building relationships and working across functions Always seeking competitive insights and intelligence to inform the company of challenges and opportunities in the marketplace Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously with shifting priorities, deadlines and focus
