The Department

Our Dual Site Stables Operations and Owners Services Department manages vast areas where horses train and race. It is an interesting, busy and natural environment where you will find some of Hong Kong's most colorful people, like racing professionals, world class sportsman, agronomist and engineers. We are looking for a proactive and highly-motivated individual to join our team.

The Job

You will:

  • develop, analyze and evaluate all key operational metrics for dual site stables operations to identify possible solutions and to support business decision making
  • assist in developing and formulating operation plans for dual site stables operations by identifying outcomes and potential returns
  • perform deep-dive analyses to deliver insights on root causes of issues and make recommendations to drive operational efficiency improvement to dual site stables operations
  • work closely with all functional teams in planning and preparing stables financial budgets and in ensuring expenses are spent in line
  • work closely with all functional teams to derive sound policies, SOP and guidelines to drive operational efficiency
  • lead the team to handle various types of owners’ charges and to analyse the demand of stable feeds and supplies ordering from Stables and charging mechanisms for sites
  • oversee the distribution of prize money and various allowances to stables staff in both Hong Kong and Conghua. Ensure proper financial control is exercised and payment is made timely and accurately
  • handle monthly gratuity reports submitted by trainers and the declaration for gratuities to stables staff by horse owners and maintain proper reconciliation and recording
  • conduct ad-hoc research, data analysis or business planning tasks/projects as assigned by the Head of Dual Site Stables Operations and Owners Services
  • perform raceday related duty to ensure smooth running of race day operations
  • About You

    You should have:

  • a Bachelor’s degree with at least 6 years of experience in office administration and business planning at managerial level
  • strong leadership capabilities
  • proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese, including Cantonese and Putonghua
  • good analytical and presentation skills
  • ability to deal with different stakeholders in a complex operation
  • passion in the horses racing industry will be an advantage
