Data Engineer / Data Analyst (HK$30K to 42K monthly) (Ref. No.: 24295)

Our client is a Public Utility Company; they are urgently looking for Data Analytics and Data Management professional to set up data pipelines, develop and maintain highly scalable data warehouse, conduct data analytics, and generate dashboards/visualizations to enable effective performance monitoring of application systems.

Job Duties

• To design, build, test, and maintain highly scalable data warehouse and management systems at on premise servers and Cloud data platform for acquiring data from multiple data sources and maintain the databases;
• To develop data models and pattern identification (i.e. predictive models and machine-learning algorithms) to address operations and maintenance problems;
• To set up and maintain automated data processes and pipelines;
• To assist in building and deploying responsive web applications, API and back end services;
• To administrate server/Cloud data platform, monitor and maintain computer systems healthiness. Define security and backup procedures;
• To design and create data visualization dashboard and reports to communicate data analytics insights effectively; and
• To design, manage and housekeep document/ source code version control server.

Job Requirements

Data Engineer

• University Degree or above in Engineering / Data Science / Computer Science / Information Technology or a related discipline;
• 2 years’ post academic experience in design / implementation / consulting for Business Analytics, Dashboarding, Big Data Processing, Data Warehousing solutions;
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud computing technologies related to Analytics (particularly S3, Lake Formation, Glue, Kinesis, EMR, Redshift, Athena, Lambda). AWS Certified Professional is preferred;
• Solid architectural knowledge in design, implementation and maintenance of IT infrastructure including networking, IT Security, Linux & Windows servers, database and virtualization;
• Have experience in following sets of tools and technology:
  • Cloud Computing and Cloud Native Data Analytics: Amazon AWS
  • Programming Language: Python, Selenium, RESTful API
  • Data Visualisation Software: Tableau
  • Database: PostgreSQL / MongoDB
• Fluent in spoken and written English and Cantonese.

Data Analyst

• University Degree or above in Engineering / Data Science / Computer Science / Information Technology or a related discipline;
• 2 years’ post academic experience in collecting, analysing, and interpreting Big Data to identify ways to help a business improve operations. Support the data handling process to ensure systems data are collected, cleaned, organized and maintained ready for data analysis or publication;
• Strong data analytic knowledge and experience in automate end-to-end data pipeline, data ETL and data visualisation. Experience with Deep learning algorithms for video Analytics (object recognition and subtle change detection) is an advantage.
• Have experience in following sets of tools and technology:
  • Cloud Computing and Cloud Native Data Analytics: Amazon AWS
  • Programming Language: Python, Selenium, RESTful API
  • Data Visualisation Software: Tableau
  • Database: PostgreSQL / MongoDB
