The Department of Biomedical Engineering is recruiting Research Associate(s) / Research Assistant(s) / Junior Research Assistant(s) for the “CUHK Jockey Club HOPE 4 Care Programme”.

Applicants should have (i) a MSc degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Engineering, Computing or a computer-related discipline, plus at least four years' post-qualification experience in the related field (for Research Associate); OR a MSc or BSc degree in the abovementioned discipline, and preferably with at least one year's post-qualification experience (for Research Assistant or Junior Research Assistant); (ii) self-motivation, a good sense of responsibility and good problem-solving skills; (iii) good communication and writing skills; and (iv) good development and debugging skills in using at least one of the following languages: C/C++, C#, Python and JAVA. Experience in machine learning, data analytics, Augmented Reality (AR) application is preferred. Fresh graduates will also be considered for appointment as Research Assistant or Junior Research Assistant. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview.

The appointee(s) will (a) assist in project as assigned; (b) develop visual intelligence software product and bring the best accuracy/performance as well as easy-of-use to customer; (c) test, release and improve software product based on customer's feedbacks independently; (d) conduct the clinical trial with unimpaired subjects, persons after stroke and persons with disability; (e) perform Algorithm optimisation for efficient execution; (f) analyse data, write documents, papers and reports.

Appointment will be made on contract basis for one year, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
