Performance & Rewards Manager (BB-CF447)

The job holder is the subject matter expert for all rewards activities globally and is accountable for supporting the Head of Performance & Rewards to lead the global performance and total rewards CoE to ensure we have the right rewards frameworks, policies and tools in place, effectively incentivise and recognise high performance to support the Company to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Rewards and Mobility Programmes Design and Management

  • Contribute to the design and delivery of competitive compensation and benefit and mobility programmes that are aligned across all markets and are in compliance with country specific legal requirements
  • Formulate and evaluate rewards framework, policies and procedures; deliver elements of the technical design; provide financial, market practice, and legal analysis and insights
  • Administer and review employee benefits and retirement programmes in all global jurisdictions, mediating between benefits providers and employees
  • Partner with our shared services team to ensure efficient delivery of pension and benefits administration functions, including enrolments, terminations and reporting and drive business improvement
  • Participate in other HR or rewards initiatives and projects globally as assigned

    • Benchmarking and Job Evaluation

  • Conduct job evaluation, regular pay and benefits benchmarking exercises, market analyses and other cost modelling
  • Manage participation in compensation and benefits surveys, including job matching and data consolidation across all markets
  • Translate survey results into useful insights for management; identifying relevant trends to improve compensation and benefit initiatives

    • Management of annual compensation and performance review cycle

  • Facilitate the annual salary review and bonus payment process, providing costing and market competitiveness, fair pay analyses and insights
  • Manage the annual performance management cycle, including the performance management technology system and any releases, enhancements or improvements
  • Prepare proposals for merit increase and off cycle salary adjustments
  • Draft communications for employees and deliver management briefings; prepare line-management decision making tools.

  • Lead, support and encourage own team to effectively collaborate with others achieve success and lead by example in accordance with Cathay’s core values
  • Develop employees with high potential and identify learning opportunities to ensure appropriate training and development

    • Requirements:

  • Degree holder plus at least 10 years’ HR experience with strong knowledge performance and total rewards management
  • Experience in managing ORSO / MPF schemes 
  • Experience managing pension fund administrators and flexible benefits scheme advantageous
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, attention to details and high degree of accuracy
