Senior Manager, Special Projects and Strategic Initiatives

Our client is A  Leading International Insurance Firm in Hong Kong

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Managing Director with strategic planning process and delivers project management, strategic planning, and implementation support for key organizational initiatives;
  • Take ownership of the special projects as directed by the Managing Director;
  • Provide all-rounded support to the Managing Director for the convening of a range of meetings on short-or-long plans / projects. This may include undertaking research, tracking trends, preparing presentations; development of meeting agendas; compiling pertinent materials for attendees; preparing summaries of discussion; coordinating logistical arrangements; and ensuring appropriate and effective communications with participants, as needed;
  • Support the Managing Director with development and maintenance of external partnerships;
  • Work closely with the Managing Director on advocacy efforts and relationship building with regulators and stakeholders;
  • Perform other duties at the request of the Managing Director.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree holder in Business Administration or Economics; would be an added advantage with Accounting or Actuarial background;
  • Minimum 5 years of senior level project management experience in insurance or financial services organisation;
  • Track record of thinking conceptually and mastering complex subject matter quickly;
  • Effective and inspiring leadership;
  • Strong relationship builder and communicator;
  • Ability to work well with superiors, co-workers and external stakeholders;
  • Ability to work independently and proactively to work on the projects, as needed;
  • Strong presentation skills, ability to exercise initiative, and be a self-starter;
  • Strong organisational skills and demonstrated capacity to develop and implement practical strategies, plans, and solutions to identified issues and problems;
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical skills and impeccable business judgment;
  • Excellent writing skills to write concisely and in an organized manner;
  • Good spoken and written English & Chinese;
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
