Clerk II in the Department of Microbiology (Ref.: 503001) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)
Applicants should possess a Diploma or above, with 5 passes in HKCEE including English (min. Grade C if Syllabus A/Level 2 from 2007), Chinese (Level 2 from 2007) and Mathematics, or min. Level 2 or equivalent in 5 subjects in HKDSEE including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics or equivalent; with at least 2 years' office administrative work experience, preferably in tertiary institutions. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, and be proficient in PC and software applications such as MS Excel and Word. They should also be eager to learn, and self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility. Preference will be given to those who are immediately available. The appointee will provide operational, administrative and clerical support to the Department's general office; assist in financial issues (e.g. ordering and payment), research activities, and academic programmes administration; and perform any other duties as assigned. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview.
