We are seeking a Cloud Service Lead in IT Infrastructure.  The selected Service Lead must is responsible for the overall smooth execution of the operational service management processes for Cloud Services. Ideal candidates will have lead & facilitated Service Management and technical requirements into deliverable products/solutions, as well as service management. This position will actively participate in assessment, planning, architecture, design and Service Management activities.

We are looking for someone with:  

  • 5-10 years of proven track record of working as Service Lead / People Lead

  • Strong understanding of Cloud Computing and Cloud Based technologies.

  • Knowledge of virtualization, storage, and other technology trends

  • Familiarity with business models of Cloud Providers such as Amazon, Azure

  • Familiarity with SaaS, IaaS delivery models

  • Strong knowledge of pricing, licensing, and subscription based pricing models

  • Ability to drive communication processes and work effectively in cross-functional teams

  • Have a high degree of empathy and crave to deeply understand the customer

  • Solid communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills required to interact with colleagues and clients both at a high-level ("big picture") and at a detailed-level ("technical").

  • Keen interest in understanding new technologies and solving problems.

  • Ability to develop productive business relationships with internal team members through cooperation, courtesy, and professionalism.

  • Effective presentation, documentation and report writing skills.

Nice to Haves:   
Must have strong understanding in at least two or more of the following areas:

  • Cloud Computing technologies (Azure)

  • Ability to maintain records, prepare reports, and conduct correspondence related to Cloud technologies.

  • Understanding of IaaS, PaaS & SaaS

  • Networks (LANs/WANs),

  • Servers (Unix/Windows),

  • Database Administration (SQL/Oracle),

  • Storage (NAS/SAN),

  • IT Security,

  • Telecom,

  • Application Deployment and Support.

  • Excellent MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), MS Visio and MS Project experience

On the job you will:

  • Know the Cloud and IT Services market, and how best to address Service Management for Cloud

  • Manage vendor relationships and assist with contract negotiations.

  • Assist in the creation of business cases for new products.

  • Spearhead key/critical cross-functional initiatives for service management

  • Work closely with Engineering teams providing input on and formal review of product functional specifications prior to deployment

  • Act as point of first reference for all service management related enquiries and work collaboratively with business leaders to address any issues that may arise.

  • Champion various service management enhancements for Cloud

  • Critically evaluating information gathered from multiple sources;

  • Business process mapping of current state and desired state.

  • Contribute to development of an Opportunity Assessment (Business Case) for solution proposals including business need, cost/benefit analysis, feasibility and gap analysis.
