The Department is keen to enhance its reputation as one of the world-class research institutions and generators of knowledge that prides itself over teaching and mentorship. It hopes that new faculty members will embrace that agenda with the support of abundant facilities at the Department.

The Department is seeking a quality scholar in any of the following sub-disciplines of psychology:
- Clinical, Health and Community Psychology
- Language/Literacy development (Educational/ Developmental Psychology)
- Neuroscience (Cognitive/ Social/ Developmental/ Clinical Psychology)

Applicants should have (i) a strong publication track record and proven ability to obtain grants; (ii) international experience; and (iii) strong commitment to supervise postgraduate students. Scholars with demonstrated academic leadership, research excellence, a track record of extramural competitive funding and rich experience on students’ supervision are particularly encouraged to apply.

The appointee will (a) teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses; (b) supervise students’ projects and theses; (c) undertake research and (d) assist in administrative duties.

Appointment will normally be made on contract basis for up to three years initially commencing in August 2021, which, subject to mutual agreement, may lead to substantiation or longer-term appointment. Salary and fringe benefits will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. The University offers a comprehensive fringe benefit package, including medical care, plus a contract-end gratuity for an appointment of two years or longer and housing benefits for eligible appointee.
