This role will be responsible for using analytical and quantitative methods to understand, predict, implement, manage and enhance transportation processes. You will be responsible for assembling data, making transportation decisions, identifying problems, and developing solutions which support logistics planning and operations.
What you will do Develop excellent working relationships with business lines and all departments (Customer Support, Quality Assurance, Operations, Technology, Finance and Supply Chain). Develop solid working relationships with carrier personnel, including local Account Representatives, National and International Account Management, Customer Solutions organizations, and Senior Leadership. Transportation expense leadership Analyze freight rates Develop freight cost trend analysis, determine areas of improvement, implement solutions and report on cost reduction initiatives. Ensure data alignment across our systems and partner’s platform to drive process improvement by partnering with carriers and internal parties. This position plays a critical role ensuring that the transportation & logistics group meets or exceeds customer needs and business objectives. No task is too big or too small if it supports driving customer satisfaction and business requirements. Other duties as assigned by your team leader
About you Minimum of 3 years work experience in related field Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, Finance, Business a plus Demonstrated analytical, organizational, problem solving and creative thinking skills Fluent in English Strong negotiation, interpersonal, and relationship building skills
